The third annual Dickson Street Slide is happening Sunday, Aug. 27. It starts at JJ’s Grill at 10 a.m. and ends at 8 p.m. The slide is 1000 feet long. Tickets can be purchased through the website. For three slides the ticket costs $25. Unlimited slides costs $40. The event also has a kid zone and a community village. The event is being hosted by Soldier on Service Dogs. All proceeds will go to helping provide quality trained service dogs to local Veterans living with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, PTSD, Traumatic Brain Injury or living with both.
