For this issue of March Chicken Madness, we have Wingstop versus Dot’s; however, I was, unfortunately, unable to review Dot’s because of their working ours. The only times they are open are Tuesday through Saturday, and I was on vacation up until last Sunday. Not only that, but on the days they are open, they are only open during times when I am at school, so I was unable to review Dot’s. Because of this, Wingstop gets an automatic pass to the next round, but I will still review Wingstop here to show my opinion of the restaurant.

From Wingstop, I got the ten-piece wing combo which has ten chicken wings and fries.

The wings were extremely good. They were very juicy and crispy, and the addition of the wings being tossed in the sauce, instead of having to be dipped, greatly helps with the consistency of the flavor. These wings were genuinely amazing and, in my opinion, deserve a 10/10.

While the fries weren’t quite on the level of the wings, they were still highly above average. They were well cooked with soft skin, and, for some reason, were the only restaurant so far to season their fries. The seasoning was salty and spicy, but had a bit of a strange, sweet aftertaste, lowering my view of it. Because of this, I will give the Wingstop fries a 7/10.

While I was unable to review Dot’s for this tournament I still believe that Wingstop has earned its place in the bracket. The Wings were great and the fries were better than those from the other restaurants. With that, the preliminary rounds of March Chicken Madness are over.
