A Word from Dr. Colbert
One of our annual December traditions is the FHS Student Council Homeless Vigil which benefits our Families in Transition program. Last year, over 400 students in our district were homeless or were affected by homelessness, and the funds raised at this event help those students in need and their families.
The 25th annual Homeless Vigil will take place on December 8 between the Phase II and Phase III buildings on Bulldog Blvd. beginning at 5 p.m. The students will be accepting monetary donations (cash and check), and non-perishable food items, as well as selling Fayetteville High School sweatshirts and hoodies from 5 p.m. to 11 p.m. Each sweatshirt will be $20 and each hoodie will be $25. 100% of the proceeds go to the Families in Transition program.
If you would like to make a donation to the Vigil, you can send checks to Fayetteville High School to the attention of Michelle Fyfe, FHS Student Council. The mailing address is 994 W. Martin Luther King Blvd. Fayetteville, AR 72701 or you can send via school mail. Donations are also accepted through the Fayetteville High School PTSO’s PayPal link listed here: https://bit.ly/hv22
I hope you will support this wonderful event that benefits our students in need.
