The City of Fayetteville has announced two family-friendly Halloween events. Free and open to the public, these events will be held in the Lower Ramble.

Trick or Treat on the Square will be held from 4-6:30 p.m. on Monday, October 31. Families and trick-or-treaters of all ages are invited to dress up. Treats will also be handed out along the trail in the Fay Jones Woods (between West Ave. entrance to the Fayetteville Public Library and the Tanglewood Steps). Free parking will be available at the south surface lot of the FPL.

On November 2, a Community Pumpkin Pageant will be held from 5-6:30 p.m. in the Lower Ramble. Participating community members will bring their carved pumpkins to the library’s south surface lot to receive an electric tea light to place in their pumpkins. The pumpkins will then be placed along the Canopy Walk at the mouth of the woods. Participants and spectators are invited to view and vote for their favorite pumpkins. Ribbons for the winning pumpkins will be presented at 6:30 p.m. The city’s trash department will later dispose of the pumpkins.
